HEALTHY COOKING OILS

from:

Looking for alternative healthier cooking tips? Want to make foods with healthy cooking oils? There are plenty to try!

Although the word oil might make most people think unhealthy, there are actually many healthy cooking oils that are not only good for you, but have other great benefits, i.e. they can improve the quality of your skin, hair and nails! Just by consuming oil on a daily or weekly basis you will be able to see an improvement on these things with the texture being softer and more durable. Your body needs oil sometimes to replenish your body’s inner workings!

Choosing healthy cooking oils can be a mystery for some people as oil is inherently a fat. However, our bodies need some fat, but we need to make sure that it is the good fat and not the bad fat. The good fat from healthy cooking oils can be found in olive oil, peanut oil and canola oil. These oils will provide your body and your palate with a pleasing mix of nutrition and taste! However, some dieticians argue the healthy qualities of these oils.

It seems nowadays with health being such a large issue, the controversy over what is good for you and what is not is highly charged. One expert nutritionist says this about one of your favorite food items while another says something else. This is the case for just about every food item on the market. In this case, it becomes a personal choice as with any decision in your life. It is important to do your research, test the results and then make the very best decision you can. The rule of thumb seems to be that anything in excess should be watched carefully or avoided and anything in moderation is best.

The bottom line is you know your body best. You know how you feel when you feel your best and you can begin to gauge what foods affect the way you feel giving you a better idea of what works best in your diet. Some people function better with different foods. It is no wonder that you would have the same experience as well.

So when you add healthy cooking oils to your life do so with care. Even if you have decided the oil you are using is good healthy oil, it is still highly concentrated with fat. You do not want to overdo anything that is high in fat. Even if you only ate apples, if you ate more apples than calories you burned off, you would gain weight. It is common sense, research, and taking care that will keep you fit and healthy for the rest of your life!
